Bench Hacks For Overhead Triceps Extensions

Intro

I have 4 EASY hacks for you to be able to execute SEATED Overhead Triceps Extensions with Dumbbells/EZ Curl Bar/Etc. while having back support and an unencumbered range of motion.

The Hacks

Hack #1: Chair

  • So while the title of the Video states, “Bench Hacks’ - this one actually uses no bench at all. Instead you are going to grab a sturdy chair (one that can support your body weight plus the weight of your dumbbells/plates/etc.), Place an AbMat or a Balance Pad against the chair’s back rest for added comfort.

Hack #2: Spotter Arm

  • Place your Spotter Arm on your rack’s upright so that it is as high as the middle of your back. Now just wheel your bench over to the Spotter Arm. Place an AbMat or a Balance Pad against the Spotter Arm for added comfort.

Hack #3: Foam Roller

  • Set your adjustable bench to 45 degrees, and then place a Foam Roller between your mid-back and the adjustable bench’s pad.

Hack #4: Preacher Pad with Shelf Liner

  • Set your adjustable bench to 30 degrees and then place your Preacher Pad on the bench’s seat. Now grab a ROLL of “grippy shelf liner, “ placing some of the shelf liner under the Preacher Pad (to prevent the Preacher Pad from sliding upwards), and the the rolled up portion of the shelf liner should be against the flat portion of the rear edge of the Preacher Pad (this will prevent the Preacher Pad from tilting backwards).
